Cartway (“we”, “us”) is a navigation app for golf carts and low-speed vehicles, published by RowLabs. This policy explains what data the app uses and how. The short version: Cartway has no user accounts, keeps your data on your device, and never sells your personal information.
Location
With your permission, Cartway uses your device location to center the map, show which roads are reachable from where you are, and provide turn-by-turn navigation. Your location is used on your device. To draw maps and find places and roads around you, location-derived requests (such as the area you’re viewing or an address you search) are sent to our map and data providers — see “Third-party services” below. We do not operate servers that store your location, and we do not track your movements over time.
You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device’s Settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Cartway Pro is an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your installation and processes purchase and receipt information so the app knows whether Pro is active. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Information stored on your device
Your settings, saved places (such as Home and Work), recent searches, and cached map and place data are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes this data.
Website analytics
The cartway.app website uses Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personally identifying information. This applies to the website only, not the app.
Third-party services
The app relies on these services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple — app distribution and payment processing
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- MapTiler — map tiles and address search (geocoding)
- Foursquare — places and points-of-interest data
- OpenStreetMap — road and map data
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Data is shared with the providers above only as needed to make the app work.
Children
Cartway is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Your choices
- Control or revoke location access in your device Settings.
- Delete the app to remove data stored on your device.
- Request deletion of your RevenueCat subscription records by emailing us.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
